One of the biggest and most original franchises to arise in the last decade has been Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed franchise. With its unique blend of stealth-action, amazing presentation, perspectives on ancient history, incorporating real historical persons, and a story that spans the past and present, Assassin’s Creed has left an indelible mark on the gaming community. So much so, that a major theatrical motion picture, starring Michael Fassbender, is set for release in December. To celebrate this franchise, and to introduce a new generation of players to the franchise, Ubisoft is launching Assassin’s Creed: The Ezio Collection for new systems, this November.
The Ezio Collection, focuses on one of the chief protagonists of the series, Ezio Auditore da Firenze. While various games in the franchise have changed their protagonists, the quests of Ezio are where many gamers entered the franchise and became fans. The Ezio Collection will contain three games: AC II, AC: Brotherhood, and AC: Revelations.
New to this collection will be the tune-up of graphics, presentation, and technical mechanics. Faster load times, better textures, and a steadier frame rate are part of the enhancements. This collection will include all add-ons and DLC, but will not include the multiplayer components that previously accompanied each game. Also included will be two short films: Assassin’s Creed Lineage and Embers.
The Ezio Collection will be launching, both digitally and physically, on November 15th, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One.
