Space strategy games are nothing new. Games like Stellaris from Paradox Interactive and Rebel Galaxy from Double Damage Games provide incredible action on the fringes of space. However, as the old saying goes, it is never about what you have but instead, how you use it. From one of the most favored names on the app store,
Wardrum Studios, comes Auralux: Constellations a game that takes galactic conquest in a simple yet challenging direction.
As the sequel to Auralux, Auralux: Constellations has players taking over planets, as well as entire star systems with the push of a button. There are no resources to manage or items to sort through. There are no individual skills and statistics to consider before battle. In Auralux: Constellations, your objective is to take over planets, build your army, and attack with relentless fury!
Your units are a flurry of dots, corresponding to your color. You will win worlds by constructing this army and attacking and conquering said planets. The game, however, is fast paced, and your enemy may just take your planets from you in the blink of an eye. How you negotiate the ensuing space battle will be up to you.
Despite the simplicity on the surface, an excellent in-depth strategy will be needed to win the star system. With over 150 levels, the game is sure to make a big hit upon app gamers, and fans of the RTS genre.
Auralax Constellations will be available to play at PAX West in Seattle this Labor Day weekend. It is launching on August 25th for iOS users and Android users. It will be playable on the iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, and all Android devices as well as PC.
