Operation Santa 2015 Pittsburgh, PA- DECEMBER 19th, 2015 The Pittsburgh Stack had an eventful weekend kicking it off with the Bridges Kids Club Operation Santa Military Christmas Carnival on Saturday. This was a family fun event sponsored by the Heroes Support Network and run by the Bridges Kids Club, an all-volunteer group of over 100 children ages 4-19 in the local Pittsburgh community. The event was open to Service Members from all branches of the Military and their families.
This was a Holiday Carnival themed event with games for the kids, face painting, cotton candy, snow cones and much more! They even had local dance groups performing for all of the guests!
During the event we had a PS4 Disney Infinity Star Wars Sega Bundle Pack to Raffle off set up at our table! Every person received raffle tickets at the door to put entries in for prizes of their choosing. The Children came running for our table! We had little gifts for the children set up at our table for them to take.
We had a chance to speak to a number of service men and women from the USAF, local Pittsburgh Coast Guard, US Army just to name a few! The experience of hearing their stories and getting to know them was priceless! We had the opportunity to connect with a few civilian supporters that are going to help us connect with service members in need.
Oh! What’s a party without the one and only SANTA! Had to snag a photo op with him!
What’s this?! Elsa from Frozen was there as well!
As the day came to an end it was time for the raffle! The Star Wars bundle was last and the kids were waiting excited to see if they won! Two lucky sisters ended their day very excited!
This event was a blast and the Pittsburgh Stack cannot wait to do more events like this!
Thanks to all of our Volunteers who helped with this event: Stephen Machuga, Brian Snyder, Jason Mascara and Brittany Mascara. Thanks also go out to the Heroes Support Network and the Bridges Kids Club for putting on such a fantastic event for our Military Heroes.
