This supply crate request came from Matthew, a Marine Gy Sgt currently deployed overseas and currently serving in the Avionics Division. Keep reading to hear about why Matthew and his AVI technician Marines were looking forward to receiving a crate filled with games.
My name is GySgt Loyd, I am currently serving as the SNCOIC for HMH-466’s Avionics Division. I have been a Marine for 15 years now, and when I look back I have no idea where the time as gone. By trade I am an avionics technician on the CH53-E Super Stallion, she’s a beast. As AVI technicians, we troubleshoot and repair everything that has a wire to it; communication, navigation, engines, flight systems…everything. HMH-466 “The Wolfpack” Avionics Division is seen as the “nerds” of the 53 community, so when I read your mission statement, I knew this was something for us.
I hear my Marines constantly talking about where they are at on a current game or what time will everyone be on after work. The reason I believe we would be a perfect candidate for your program is because I have a lot of junior Marines who live in the same barracks and don’t have the means to venture around the Okinawan Island. Your program will provide my Marines will an outlet after work to build as a team along with a way to communicate with their families back home.
We thank you for your consideration and look forward to being a success story for you. I have attached a picture from this year’s Marine Corps Ball, we are currently working three maintenance shifts in preparation for upcoming detachments, it’s hard to get everyone together. Please don’t mind the cobra in the background; that was the best spot to take a picture. Thank you again.
We read this and had to send them a crate! Gaming is a great way to stay in communication with people overseas and build teamwork. And that is a great-looking Cobra.
We also want to take a moment to thank Call To Arms streamer Matoro, for stacking up during his stream to help raise funds for this Supply Crate! It is because of amazing streamers like him and his community that we are able to do amazing things like Supply Crates!
We wish Matthew and the Avionics Division happy gaming, talking with their loved ones, and team bonding.
If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack-Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
