Supply Crate – Corey & Cory

It's May, aka Military Appreciation Month and Mental Health Awareness Month. Our Call to Arms push is in full swing. More about that after this update from Cory and Corey, who thought it would be a great idea to reach out to Stack Up for a Supply Crate to get a gaming care package for their unit's soldiers as part of an effort to reduce stigma around mental health.

Good morning My name is SSG Cory. I'm the [redacted] of Behavioral Health here at [redacted]. Myself and SPC Corey wanted to reach out for any help with our outreach program for the Soldiers here at [redacted]. We have the unique mission of providing care to Service Members as well as the Afghanistan Refugee mission as well. We don't want our Soldiers here that work odd hours, affecting their sleep and isolated from their families to feel forgotten. Myself and SPC Corey are reaching out to you, to help increase our efforts to provide any kind of comforts for our Service Members while on deployment. That's our main mission of Behavioral Health is to increase awareness by reducing Stigma. Part of that, is supplying the Soldiers with resources to help them deal with the stressors of deployment. We aim to use these products for tournaments, self care and a way to talk to Soldiers if they're dealing with any stressors of deployment. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.

It's good to see the services taking the mental health care of our active service members seriously. Too often, mental health gets ignored because of attitudes surrounding having problems and often views that those who are suffering are in some way, weak. Dealing with stressors that increase mental health problems are sometimes as simple as firing up a console and playing a game.

We couldn't get many pictures due to the opsec team guidance
As part of the behavioral health team as well as the one of the USO rep for the base, we have been able to provide even more leisure activities as well as tournaments to build up over all moral during the holiday season.
Able to use it not only for fun and recreational activity, but also to help drive our behavioral health mission to the next level!
A few quotes were " It's wild to think people still care about us to this magnitude! I haven't even received a letter and than this arrives! Merry Christmas" "a true Christmas miracle"
Thank you for your support, the arrival of this package couldn't have came at a better time!

We've been receiving so many responses to their Supply Crates, we're still working our way through responses from December. Thank you to every Veteran and Active Duty Military member who has been letting us know that not only did they receive their crate, but that they're happy with them!

KayJay sponsored this Supply Crate! They've sponsored other Supply Crates as well, so if you're interested in checking them out, hit the tag with KayJay's name on it below. KayJay has a channel on Twitch.
