Dannon was nominated for a Supply Crate after participating in game night with the Dayton, Ohio Stack with Stack Up and becoming a co-lead.
Dannon served 10 years in the Navy. Upon completion of service, he had a rough time adjusting back to civilian life, trying his hand at college and several jobs that did not go so well. Dannon dealt with severe depression for multiple years after his end of service. In 2019 Dannon attended a D & D event hosted by the Dayton, Ohio Stack. They were short a GM and Dannon jumped in to lead a session. From there Dannon began participating in events with the Stack. Dannon's confidence grew as he participated in Stack events and he took on a more active role, co-leading the Stack and hosting a D & D table at monthly events. Eventually, Dannon took over the lead of the Dayton Stack, saving the Stack when no one else to lead them. As Dannon's confidence grew, he also went back to college. He recently graduated with a degree in financial services. This degree will allow him to become a certified financial planner, where he plans to focus on helping veterans plan for their futures and make sure they are financially secure. The final step to becoming a certified financial planner is to pass his certification test, which is an incredibly stressful exam. Studying for this exam is time consuming and stressful, especially since Dannon is already working in finance. Providing a supply crate will allow Dannon to relax and connect with others who may be under tremendous amounts of stress.
Sounds like Dannon has been an exemplary guy who has worked hard and thrown himself right into the trenches with Stack Up through our Stacks program. As a part of the Stacks program, Dannon is part of a group of Veterans and supportive civilians who host games nights and work together to improve their local areas through volunteering.
