Supply Crate – Felipe

Felipe requested a Supply Crate for the Truckee Meadows Community College Veteran Resource Center so that they could use the gaming console to connect with Veterans as they transition into college life.

The mission of the TMCC Veterans Resource Center (VRC) is to assist student veterans in their successful transition from military service to the academic environment. Located in RDMT 241, we are here to help guide all veterans, eligible dependents and spouses, Nevada National Guard members, and active duty personnel in their educational goals. Entirely operated by veterans, the staff of the VRC is dedicated in using their own personal experiences to support other veterans and their families.

It can be tough making the transition from Military to Veteran and especially civilian life. The reintegration can be a true struggle for some. Having groups like VRCs at college campuses can be a major help as Veterans make their way back into everyday life. Gaming can help by providing an outlet and a way to connect with other Veterans who are having similar struggles.
