Supply Crate Hundred Heroes #4

This one was a fun request to fulfill and it is in the best spirit of our Hundred Heroes end-of-year campaign. The request is for a former Attack Helicopter pilot named Anthony, but interestingly he did not submit the application. This Supply Crate request came from Anthony’s wife, who was looking for a little holiday surprise for your husband.

I am requesting this Supply Crate for my husband. He medically retired from the Army after 14 years of active duty service. He found out last year during his annual flight physical that he had scoliosis that would prevent him from continuing his career as an AH-64 pilot with the Army.

He loved flying and was quite devastated by the decision. To add to his stress in the middle of separating from the Army, we also found out that we were going to be first-time parents.

We are ecstatic, but this past year has been extremely demanding for my husband. He has had to cope with his medical issues, transition from the military to civilian life, train for a new career, and provide for a growing family.
Games have always been a stress reliever for him. As a soldier, he would use them to relax and cope with stresses during his deployments. I would love to be able to surprise him with a Supply Crate with gaming goodies he truly deserves.

Well, you came to the right place, because sending out gaming goodness is what we are about here at Stack Up! It was all too easy to ensure that Anthony was selected as one of our Hundred Hero Recipients.

We also want to thank the amazing Call To Arms streamers who help to make these Supply Crates possible. Thanks to the help of Cahlaflour and her community we soon had a crate on the way to Anthony and when he received it he sent back some pictures and some word of thanks!

Are you freaking kidding me?!? Oh man. I’m honored and no words can explain how exciting this is. Our income Dropped by about 75% after I separated from the army back in August, and my wife and I actually agreed not to get each other anything for Christmas.

Add to that the cost and stress of our first kid being born the 3rd. This is so huge. That sneaky woman… now I’ve got to figure out how to get her back. I’ll make sure and document everything for sure.

You sent our MEDEVAC/Apache unit at FOB Dwyer in Afghanistan a crate back in 15-16 and that PS4 was loved and cherished by everyone in our circle of friends. We left it for the next unit and hopefully, they got the same amount of joy out of it. — Thank you again!!!

Thank you to both Anthony and his wife for sending in the request! We are glad we could help brighten your holiday and hope you don’t get your wife back too hard 😉

If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack-Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
