Jose is both a Navy and Coast Guard Veteran who requested a Supply Crate after seeing how much joy it brings his own sons.

Dear Stack Up Community Leaders, I hope this letter finds you well. I wanted to reach out to express my deep admiration for the incredible work that Stack Up does in supporting veterans and their families through the power of video games. As a parent of two incredible young men, both of whom face unique challenges, I have seen firsthand the positive impact that gaming can have on their lives. Today, I humbly ask for your consideration in granting me one of your free video game console supply crates. Let me introduce myself. I am a proud U.S. Coast Guard and Navy veteran who served my country with honor and dedication. Unfortunately, due to the injuries sustained during my service, I am now on disability. As the sole income earner in my family, it has been challenging to provide for my loved ones, especially considering the specialized care and support my sons require. My eldest son, Collin who is 20 years old, has been diagnosed with a pervasive developmental disorder. While he possesses remarkable strengths and talents, his condition makes it difficult for him to navigate social interactions and engage with others in traditional ways. Despite these challenges, gaming has become an incredible outlet for him to express himself, connect with others, and build friendships that transcend the barriers he faces in everyday life. Similarly, my 18-year-old son Lukas has been diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. Gaming has proven to be an invaluable tool in helping him develop crucial life skills, improve his coordination, and boost his self-confidence. The virtual worlds he explores provide a safe and inclusive space where he can engage with others, fostering a sense of belonging that is often elusive in the physical world. As a parent, I have witnessed the profound positive effects gaming has had on my sons' lives. It has sparked their creativity, enhanced their cognitive abilities, and served as a platform for personal growth and development. However, financial constraints have made it challenging for us to access the latest gaming technologies and experiences. That's why I'm reaching out to you, dear Stack Up Community Leaders, in the hopes that you might consider us as candidates for one of your supply crates. Receiving a video game console supply crate from Stack Up would not only be a dream come true for my sons but would also provide an opportunity for us to strengthen our family bond. Gaming has become a shared passion that allows us to connect, communicate, and create lasting memories together. It would bring immeasurable joy and laughter into our lives, offering a much-needed respite from the daily challenges we face. Moreover, the supply crate would provide my sons with a means to engage with the Stack Up community directly. They would have the chance to connect with other gamers who share their interests, learn from their experiences, and form lasting friendships. The sense of belonging and support that comes from being part of a community like Stack Up cannot be overstated, particularly for individuals who often feel isolated due to their unique circumstances. In closing, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude for considering our family as candidates for a video game console supply crate. The great thing about gaming is that it's a pretty universal hobby that appeals to people from all walks of life, all challenges, and all backgrounds.
