Supply Crate – Kristian

Writer's picture: Stack UpStack Up

Kristian requested a Supply Crate as she found happiness through video games before and hoped that gaming would bring back that happiness after PTSD has left her with issues that make life harder.

I would greatly appreciate a supply crate. Gaming used to help me when I was a child I didn’t have many friends so I would find my happiness in gaming. I suffer from PTSD anxiety and depression due to MST I suffered while serving. I think if I start gaming again it may help me find some happiness. I recently went to jail twice last year towards the end of the year and trying to fight an eviction due to my troubles with the law which is illegal. I’ve been finding it hard to function in the world day to day I don’t want to be around people a lot of times due to my depression. I’ve feel I to drinking daily and using cannabis daily to try and cope with all my problems but it’s not helping me. I think I could connect with gamers online and maybe make new friends. Please I would love a supply crate it would help me greatly to have fun again and feel like a kid again.

A lot of what's at the core of our Veterans and Active Duty Military members getting into trouble has to do with their mental health, low morale, and being left behind by the systems that are supposed to help them. In Kristian's case, we're hoping some gaming will help her find better ways to cope and find a community that can help her out. We believe in the power of gaming in it's ability to connect people and find purpose.

Again thank you so much!!!

You are very welcome, Kristian, and we hope you find that happiness and community you are looking for.

Matts_Alright sponsored Kristian's Supply Crate. You may have seen Matt post on TikTok before, making skits about his Military service. As a Veteran he's shown how people can take their struggles and turn it into something people can relate to and find laughter and catharsis in. We thank him for supporting the mission and hope to see him around at Phalanx House again sometime. If you didn't know, he's also on Twitch.
