Lisa is the leader of the Soldier and Family Readiness Group of her unit and she requested a Supply Crate to show them some support and care for their hard work.
I am the SFRG leader of this unit. They are soldiers pulled together from different units quickly and activated. I was impressed to see so many who have not trained together regularly come together and form a unit quickly and efficiently. They stepped up to the plate and showed up, this is a California national Guard unit. Many of these soldiers never thought that they would end up deploying overseas. Many whose this is their first deployment and a huge adjustment going from drills every month, to 24/7 service. The strength I have seen in this unit has blown me away, I want to try and find any way that I can help show them the support and appt they deserve.
First-time deployments aren't just tough because of the work, they're tough because despite all the training our Active Military members get in basic, they never truly know what to expect until they are deployed. We sent these deserving troops a Supply Crate so they can look forward to something to enjoy in their off-time.

Sorry for a delayed response, I had medical emergencies occur.
They did receive the crate and were so excited. They were able to get two of the guys for a photo as they are very busy. I have also attached three photos of each platoon. I can try to get more from commander, I know they are super busy.
