Supply Crate – Matthew

It's Memorial Day! So we prepared a Supply Crate update that the Stack Up Stream Team sponsored. Matthew is a soldier in the Army who requested a Supply Crate for all the reasons that we send them out. He made some very good arguments for why his unit should receive a Supply Crate.

Dear Stack Up, I would like to share some information about our Army unit and why we believe we would make excellent candidates for a Supply Crate containing a gaming console. Our unit is comprised of dedicated soldiers who have been diligently serving our country. We have a strong sense of camaraderie, and our unit operates as a tight-knit family, supporting each other through the challenges and demands of military service. In our downtime, we often find solace and relaxation through gaming, which has become a cherished pastime for many of us. Here are a few reasons why we believe we deserve a gaming console: 1. Stress Relief: Military life can be incredibly demanding, both mentally and physically. Having access to a gaming console would provide us with a much-needed outlet to unwind, de-stress, and recharge. 2. Unit Morale: Maintaining high unit morale is essential for cohesion and effective teamwork. Gaming together not only boosts morale but also fosters a sense of camaraderie and unity within our unit. 3. Quality Time: Deployments and extended training periods often mean extended time away from our loved ones. Gaming allows us to connect with friends and family online, bridging the gap and maintaining important relationships. 4. Skill Building: Many video games require strategic thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork, skills that are directly transferable to our military roles. Gaming can enhance our cognitive abilities and decision-making. 5. Community Engagement: We also strive to engage with our local community when possible. With a gaming console, we could organize events and charity fundraisers, bringing the community closer to our unit and fostering positive relationships. In summary, we believe that a Supply Crate containing a gaming console would have a positive impact on our unit. It would not only serve as a source of entertainment but also as a valuable tool for boosting morale, enhancing our skills, and strengthening our bonds as a unit. We are committed to making the most of this opportunity and using it to foster camaraderie and well-being among our soldiers. Thank you for considering us as candidates for this generous donation. Stress relief, unit morale, quality time, skill-building, and community engagement are just some of the top reasons we send a Supply Crate out. We can appreciate a soldier who wants to build a stronger and more mentally healthy unity through gaming so we sent Matthew a Supply Crate, no problem.

Being stationed in a challenging and demanding environment, having access to entertainment and recreational activities is invaluable. The gaming console is a source of entertainment for our soldiers to unwind and relieve stress.
