Supply Crate – Nichol

Nichol served in the Army and has PTSD. She requested a console to help keep her mind occupied rather than focusing on what she's been through as a survivor of MST.

I am a 100% P&T housebound veteran due to PTSD from my 7 years in the army. My PTSD is solely due to mst, a situation where I was physically and sexually assaulted, an event that has landed me in psychiatric hospitals 8 times since 2020. I am only able to leave my apartment for doctors appointments and even then, I require someone to be with me to ease the severity of panic attacks. I was just approved for a service dog from an organization, but training won’t start until the puppy litter is 8 months old, roughly August 2024. I feel like my sense of self is slowly dying as I continue to live in my head without others around to engage with. Gaming would help me connect with others while not worsening my mental state

We're sorry to hear about what you've been through, Nichol. We hope Nichol has received her service animal by now, but in the meantime, we were able to offer her up a new gaming console in the hopes of helping her get her mind off of her trauma just in time for Christmas.

I am beyond thankful for this as I don’t celebrate my birthday or Christmas, which are only two days apart. So this has honestly made my year.
