Scott reached out for a Supply Crate because after an accident made it difficult for him to engage in the physical activities that were previously part of his hobbies, he picked up gaming.
I have been in the Air Force for 17 years and been deployed 3 times to the middle east, my most recent being a 1 year combat tour at Kandahar in 2018. I was a 14 year Master Sergeant when I got picked up for OTS. Shortly after commissioning, my wife and I were in a fatal head on collision while en route to Mississippi for a training TDY. I broke 14 bones, which included 3 of my 4 limbs. My worst injuries were a compound tibia/fibula fracture and dual acetabulum fractures on both hip sockets. I fought for two years to be returned to duty as a Wounded Warrior and finally achieved that goal in May. Although I have been able to stay in, my old hobbies (football, soccer, basketball, etc...) are impossible to continue. Games are my new source of R&R, but I do not have much of anything beyond my PC and some Steam games since i didn't play before. I just figured I would reach out to see if there might be a way to kick start my new hobby. If not, I understand. I am sure there are plenty of more deserving units that could benefit more people. Thanks for considering me and thank you for everything you do for service members!
