Timothy was deployed overseas with the Army and requested a Supply Crate to replace the console his unit had after it broke during travel.
First, I would like to thank you again for what your group does. I received a care package from you on my last deployment that was crucial in raising moral and comradery. In my last request I mention how I was part of the national guard, and that this care package would be used for years to come. It has done just that. When I first received it we were in Afghanistan, upon returning home I took the counsel to many places. I would bring it to drills for guy to use after the duty day. It got brought with us on the Kenosha mission during the civil unrest issues. I had a soldier that went to the DC mission 4 years ago that brought it along whit his guys. "---"Now to why I’m writing again. We recently arrived in Kuwait, and I brought the system with so we could set up a place to relax away from the USO and MWR. Where the waiting times to use equipment can be grueling. Unfortunately, during travel the Xbox and a few games were damaged, along with some of my hope for giving my guys escape from the day-to-day activities. We are a light infantry unit that got attached to the 2-278 a mech unit. We are here as a support unit for Centcom. For the time being we are stationed here, but have a few missions lined up where we will be leaving from time to time and returning here at Buehring. We will not be able to know what will happen as we move forward or what kind of stress relief capabilities, we will have access to. "---"We have a variety of like within our group, but some bigger common ones are COD, God of War, Madden, and Assassins Creed. If we are selected, I have a request that some of the bigger games be downloaded before shipment. The internet speeds are not the fastest and unless we are sitting in the MWR or USO can get expensive to download them. If this is not possible trust me, we will manage and be grateful for whatever you can help us with."---"If selected I plan to do the same thing with this system as the last. No matter what, I am extremely grateful for the package I received last time. The last package made a lot of dumb times less dumb, and hard times more bearable. I hope your organization can keep doing this and helping fellow soldiers for years to come.
Consoles breaking is a terrible feeling. We couldn't let these guys go without some way to unwind, so it was a no-brainer for us to send them a new console to replace the one we sent before. Hopefully this unit benefits from some gaming in their downtime.
Here are a few pictures. A few of the guys got called off for things, sorry I don't have more at this time. I'll try to get more.
No worries! We know how those personnel changes work.
