Supply Crates – Hundred Heroes #53

We continue to check in with our Hundred Heroes Supply Crate recipients. This request came to us from Bradley who is currently medically retired due to his service-related injuries. Keep reading the check out the full request.

I am a Purple Heart recipient for wounds received in Afghanistan while conducting a Route Clearance mission along the Arghandab River Valley in 2009 as a Combat Engineer. Our mission was to search for and defeat the IED threat. My vehicle suffered a direct hit from an IED. My injuries resulted in 29 months at Walter Reed until I was medically retired.

In August of 2017, I was forced to amputate my left leg just below the knee due to a failed limb salvage. My family and I enjoy spending time together outdoors, watching movies and playing games together. Thank you for the chance at this great opportunity.

How could we at Stack Up say no to a Purple Heart recipient? The answer to that question is, we can’t!

Thanks to amazing supporters like AwesomeMattg who answered the Call To Arms in 2017 we were able to send out a Supply Crate to Bradley. When he received it he sent back some awesome photos and some words of thanks.

Thank you so much for this great package, I was completely surprised to see how much awesome gaming equipment was involved.

Thank you to all of the donors and supporters that back this great organization.

With my recent amputation it has been difficult to get out and play with my children, last night my daughter asked me if we could play Xbox together. The bonding that took place was something that I had missed and am so thankful to have back.

Thank you so much.

Thank you, Bradley, for your service and thank you for sharing that story with us. It never ceases to amaze us here at Stack Up how powerful something as simple as playing a game can be. We are glad it led to that special moment with your daughter and wish you many more to come.

If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack-Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
