The Stacks – Stacking Up at the Microsoft Store
by: Ethan Whinston
Members of the Queens chapter of The Stacks gathered with Microsoft employees at the flagship Microsoft store in Midtown Manhattan to hand off video games to army veteran, Marvin Cadet and his fiancee, Judith.
The games, a Wii console, and several game discs were given to the Queens Stack by employees of the Microsoft store to use for the benefit of Stack Up and military veterans. Cadet, who was deployed in Iraq, was happy to accept the games and console.
In addition to the Wii console and games for it, the Microsoft staff donated several XBox 360 games which the Queens Stack will be sending to Stack Up for its use.
Thanks to the Microsoft store for not only the donations but also for inviting us to your store for the day. It was a fantastic time and we look forward to more events with The Stacks in the future.
