We check in with The Stacks and the San Antonio Stack as they volunteered their time to help with the 4th Annual JBSA Half Marathon! Read on below as Stack Lead Angie Huynh tells us all about the event!
The San Antonio Stack volunteered to help out at the 4th Annual JBSA Half Marathon at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph. The race was 13.1 miles long and brought runners on a scenic route around some of the historic areas on base, like Perimeter Road, Heritage Park, and the Taj Mahal. Participants as young as 12 years old were eligible to partake in the half marathon.
The volunteers from the San Antonio Stack helped guide runners in the right direction at pre-designated traffic control points and were ready to provide initial medical assistance if necessary. Many participants asked about the organization and some already knew about Stack-Up and wanted to thank us for doing what we do for the military.
Thanks Angie for taking time to share your event with us. It certainly sounds like everyone had a great time. What an awesome way to get out, do some good, and spread the word of Stack-Up and The Stacks!
