The Stacks – Stacking Up with New Zealand at Armageddon Expo

Back in June, the New Zealand chapter of The Stacks attended Wellington New Zealand Armageddon Expo. The event is a mixture of computer gaming, wrestling, anime, sci-fi, fantasy, comics, cosplay and retail stalls, similar to PAX.

This was Stack-Up’s first international event as we have never been to conventions outside of the US. The New Zealand Stack, represented by Plasma43, went all three days and had an amazing time. He even ran into one of Stack-Up Rex’s Cousins!

He saw many different cos-plays and costumes and people military getup. He even went dressed as an NZDF soldier.

Armageddon hosts a variety of stalls run by companies from New Zealand and internationally, with merchandise including comics, gaming, trading card, anime, steampunk and memorabilia sales. At each event, there are numerous New Zealand comic creators and small press present displaying and selling their wares.

Stack-Up.org and the New Zealand Stack would like to thank the Armageddon organizers for providing tickets and for allowing us to attend.
