On March 5th, he White Sands, New Mexico Stack just had its first event since Stack-Up was founded. This meet-up was held at the White Sands National Monument Park and was designed to get everyone outside/offline to hang-out and get to know each other in our Stack. With the help of Stack Lead Erik “ShadowAssault” and Luis “L-Rod,” stack members and their families all showed up to participate for our meet and greet. We had a great time relaxing and grilling up some lunch.
Over the four hour period of getting to know everyone in our local Stack, people started to open up almost instantaneously about their favorite current games and games they are looking forward to playing. When I saw this happening, I could see everyone starting to come together a little closer around the passion of video games which is part of why we are all here in the first place.
One of our newest members of the White Sands Stack, Hilton (Chappie), is extremely excited to be a part of a group who helps out veterans through one of his favorite passions, video games. Before we called it quits for the day we had a brain storming round of what our group can do next within our community. Be sure to check back on the site later about the White Sands Stack will be doing next.
