Ubisoft made the surprise announcement at their press conference with the release of a brand new video game, which also acts a sequel to a cult-classic game. At the press conference, Ubisoft announced Trials of the Blood Dragon. It is the latest installment in the famous downloadable series, Trials. In the Trials games, players take to their motorbike, traversing insane obstacles and pulling unbelievable stunts, all in record time. Various installments have made their marks on consoles, especially Trails Fusion, which was lauded for its visuals, gameplay, and challenge. Trials of The Blood Dragon is a spinoff of the game and a direct sequel to Ubisoft’s downloadable classic, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon was released in 2013 for Steam, the Xbox 360, and the PlayStation 3. The game was a spinoff of Ubisoft’s long-running, critically-acclaimed shooter franchise, Far Cry. In Blood Dragon, players take the role of Rex “Power” Colt, a Mark IV cyber-commando hell-bent on stopping a rouge general in a world heavily inspired by 1980’s cyberpunks and Cold War nightmares. The main character was voiced by action star Michael Biehn, and the game was praised for its incredible use of 1980’s subject matter. It has become a cult-classic ever since.

Trials of the Blood Dragon is a direct sequel to the event in Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. After the events of the first game, Blood Dragon DNA has spread across the planet and into the hands of America’s enemies, triggering Vietnam War IV. As Slayer and Roxanne, your objective is to take to your bikes, strap on your amchine guns, and stop Americas enemies cold in their tracks. Featuring the classic gameplay of the Trials game, players can expect to have their motocross and navigation skills tested in this exciting game that pulsates with 80’s nostalgica. The game also features an original soundtrack from Australian Synthesizer group, Powerglove.

Trials Of The Blood Dragon is available now on Steam, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
