Xbox Game Pass Subscription Offering 100+ Games for $9.99 a Month

Xbox Game Pass

Between music, television, movies, and the limitless supply of loot boxes, more and more mediums are embracing the monthly subscription format. Sony tried their hand at it with PlayStation Now, but the limited scope of releases and functionality of the service didn’t do them well. Now, we see Microsoft’s attempt, and it’s looking much stronger already.

You can discover and download the full titles directly on your Xbox One. That means continuous, full-fidelity gameplay without having to worry about streaming, bandwidth or connectivity issues. -Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox

Touting publishers like Bandai Namco, 2K, Capcom, and Sega, the Xbox Game Pass will offer 100 games with more added every month. For $10 a month, these games can be downloaded, circumventing many issues Sony ran into with PlayStation Now. Players have been wanting the gaming equivalent to Netflix for years, and this looks like a strong contender. With a new console on the horizon for Xbox with Scorpio, it’s clear that they’ll be ramping up support for the Xbox Games Pass indefinitely. Xbox Game Pass launches this Spring.
