Supply Crate – Dustin Barber

We have another successful supply crate mission that we would like to share with all of you. This time we sent help to an army infantryman named Dustin Barber. Barber served in the 1st Brigade 132 7 Infantry Battalion in the 101st airborne division for 6 years and an additional 2 years in Vilsack, Germany.

While Barber was serving, he often played games to help reduce his mental stress and control his depression. When Barber finished his service in 2017, he began having some serious struggles like homelessness and theft. Last year was the last straw for him when he got a brand-new PlayStation stolen from him.

I only had it a week or so before it got stolen. Before that, I had an original one that was kind of messing up on me. I had saved up for months from work to buy that brand new one. Since then I have moved from that place and up north to Marquette, Michigan where I am now a student.

Barber has a passion for music and would like to harness the healing powers that it offers to help other veterans. But that isn’t all that Barber plans to do with his education.

I have volunteered to help the ROTC program twice since I been up here where I would pass down knowledge to future leaders. I’m going to school to be a music producer and I would love to help other musicians. Music is another form of healing but there are times where it hits a wall. Eventually my overall goal in life is to provide an alternative health clinic for veterans. The Services it would provide include full medical staff, one-on-one therapy, group therapy, physical therapy, shelter for homeless vets, as well as job workshops. I would ensure that every employee will be a veteran that is qualified with a certificate or degree.

That is an admirable goal Barber and we will support you all the way! Let us start by replacing the ps4 you lost, it’s the least we could do. We know that it will help you reach your future goals.

Once the supply crate touched down, Barber wrote back to us showing his deep gratefulness.

Thank you to all those that put forth the money and effort to not only deliver me these gifts, but to help me and other service members that are in need. I will forever be grateful to this community and will give back to help others as well as spread the word of this organization. It is kindhearted souls like yours that keep the world unified and peace to help one another. I wish you all the best in your lives and have a happy new year.
Sincerely yours Spc Barber

We are so glad to hear that you are doing well, and it is our honor to help. We know that you will do great things and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for you. Until then, carry on with your studies and be a force of light that helps heal veterans.

We would also like to send a special thank you to TheLoyalPatriot for sponsoring this significant supply crate. You are truly a hero that cares about our military family and we hope that others follow your example.
