Mike Lavigne is a native Upstate New Yorker, and after 24 years in the U.S. Army, he calls wherever he’s stationed home. A former infantryman turned award-winning broadcast journalist, Mike has reported from the Korean demilitarized zone to the post 9/11 battlefields of Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as humanitarian missions in Thailand and Sri Lanka. A veteran of The Old Guard, the 101st Airborne, and the storied 1st Infantry Division, he still serves in uniform as a senior public affairs adviser at a four-star headquarters, responsible for providing strategic messaging and helping to manage the brand for one of the Army’s largest commands.
Mike is a true believer in Stack Up’s mission. With four combat deployments under his belt, Mike understands and appreciates the incredible power video games have to take the edge off when everything else is going to hell. He just can’t quit Diablo 3 after all these years – and has spent an inordinate percentage of his life in the Fallout franchise.
