We are continuing to check in on some of our Hundred Heroes Supply Crate deliveries. This request came to us from Toni, a Marine Family Readiness Officer, who was looking to do something special for some Marines over the holidays. Read on to take a look at the full request.
I am the Family Readiness Officer for CLB 11 and I am not requesting the crate for myself but to pass along to the Marines in my unit for Christmas. Our unit has just recently returned from deployment, they missed the holidays last year, so wanted this year to be special for them. Thank you in advance for your consideration. God bless.
We at Stack Up were only too happy to help make the holidays extra special for some Devil Dogs that missed out last year. Special thanks goes out to Lil_Lexi on Twitch who answered the Call To Arms and helped support this Supply Crate.
When the Crate arrived Toni was kind enough to pass on some words about the unique way they used the gear and also sent back some great photos of these amazing Marines!
We were not sure how to distribute all the items you sent us, so we decided to host a CLB 11 Holiday Video Game Tournament. We wanted to do something fun for our young Marines in the barracks that were not going home for the holidays, so we held a Call of Duty WWII tournament and they had a blast!
We served them lunch and then the challenge was on. We had three systems on at once, each with two players, and they played ten minute games most kills advanced to the next round. We put all the player’s names in a bowl and drew names to give out your items.
The two headphones and the XBox system were used as our 1st-3rd place prizes. OMG, can I just tell you how much fun these guys had and were so excited to receive all your video game items!
Thank you Toni, and also a special thanks to those Marines who missed time with their family last holiday. The tournament sounded like an awesome way to make a great thing even better. Thank you all for the photos and, of course, for your service!
If you’d like to make a donation that gets sent over to our troops as a Supply Crate, Stack-Up takes lightly used PS4, and Xbox One games and gear as well as cash donations. Please help us help these vets out here:
